Md Anamul Hossain Chowdhury is a final-year Civil Engineering student at Sylhet Engineering College, affiliated with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh. His research focuses on pressing Environmental issues such as water quality, groundwater pollution, flood management, and the impacts of climate change. As a research assistant at the Environmental Research Lab, Sylhet Agricultural University, he has contributed to projects involving machine learning-based river water quality prediction, water pollution control, and groundwater contamination mitigation.
He previously served as a research assistant with B'Deshi Research Lab for nearly seven months, during which he published papers at international conferences, including the Asia-Pacific Conference on Transportation and the Environment at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has also submitted two conference papers to the International Conference on Recent Progresses in Science, Engineering and Technology at Rajshahi University, which is currently under review. Furthermore, he is contributing to journal articles under review, focusing on groundwater pollution in Dhaka Division and flood management systems in Bangladesh. His research methodology involves advanced tools like MATLAB, ArcGIS Pro, and IBM SPSS for data analysis and visualization.
In addition to his academic pursuits, he is an active figure on campus. He is a research assistant in his supervisor's lab, managing multiple projects and contributing to research publications. He holds the Office and Religious Secretary position at SEC Civil Society and participates in various cultural organizations. He has also been a dedicated volunteer with "UDDIPTO TARUNNO", a non-profit organization, and actively promotes student participation in the English Olympiad at his college.
He has further expanded his expertise through online courses such as Google Analytics, Drinking Water Treatment, and Structural Design. His achievements include winning technical competitions like Cennovation 2024 and Civilization Season 1.
With an excellent academic record, including a perfect GPA of 4.00 out of 4.00 in his most recent semester, where he ranked first among 60 students in his department, he is dedicated to pursuing higher education and contributing to sustainable environmental solutions on a global scale.
