Md. Abdul Mutalib
Md. Abdul Mutalib is currently an intern at the Research and Development Unit of UniV, where he is gaining valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies and innovative problem-solving approaches. His work focuses on AI and machine learning applications, and he is gaining hands-on experience in research and project management.
Alongside this, he also works as a Research Assistant at the CRC Research Centre, contributing to a project on hand gesture recognition and visual estimations. Mutalib completed his Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from North East University Bangladesh (NEUB). During his time at university, he was an executive member of the NEUB CSE Society, where he took part in various initiatives to promote collaboration among students in the field of computer science.
His final year thesis explored using machine learning and deep learning to detect pneumonia from chest X-rays, reflecting his strong interest in applying AI to healthcare challenges. Through his internship at UniV, Mutalib has been able to build on the knowledge gained from his academic background and apply it to real-world research projects. His experience has helped him develop skills in problem-solving, research analysis, and innovation.
Looking forward, he plans to pursue a master’s degree abroad, to specialize in AI and machine learning. Ultimately, he hopes to earn a PhD and contribute to the development of AI-driven solutions in areas like healthcare and technology, aiming to make a meaningful impact in both academic research and practical applications.
