Mahbub Hasan
Mahbub Hasan is an aspiring student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Sylhet Engineering College, affiliated with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. He has established himself as a skilled practitioner in structural analysis, environmental sustainability, and CAD modeling, earning recognition through merit-based scholarships and international leadership programs. A finalist in the prestigious Aspire Leadership Program at Harvard University, Mahbub combines his technical acumen with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities to contribute to innovative engineering solutions.
In addition to his academic achievements, Mahbub is the founder of CAD Builder, an educational platform providing professional training in engineering software in Bengali, where he has created and hosted courses for aspiring engineering students across Bangladesh. His focus on making complex engineering tools accessible to learners in their native language demonstrates his commitment to empowering future generations of engineers.
Mahbub’s research interests span across earthquake resilience, coastal and marine infrastructure, disaster resilience, and sustainable resource management. His current research focuses on improving the resilience of existing built assets against earthquake-induced liquefaction in Sylhet City, Bangladesh. Furthermore, his involvement in various projects—ranging from residential buildings to university infrastructure—has equipped him with practical insights into real-world engineering challenges.
