Al-Kasmin Islam is a Research Intern at the Language and Development Unit at UniV, with experience as an Associate in the Education Policy Network at Youth Policy Forum (YPF), Dhaka.

She is engaged in research on social media's impact on political engagement among university students in Bangladesh and has co-authored an op-ed in Modern Diplomacy. Al-Kasmin also teaches English and Math at Study Care, Chittagong, and holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Political Science from the National University, Bangladesh, with a CGPA of 3.32. She is skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Cloud, and field research, having contributed to the 2017 Population & Housing Census.
