Dr. Mahbubul Hakim is a faculty member at the Department of Economics, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. He holds a Ph.D. Degree from the University of Sydney, Australia. He worked as a lecturer in economics at Macquarie University, Australia. His areas of expertise include transport economics and applied economics.

Dr. Hakim has presented his analytical works in conferences held in Washington D.C. (U.S.A.), Antwerp (Belgium), Rhodes (Greece), Singapore, Melbourne (Australia), Shanghai (China), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and visited many other countries for research purpose. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the Economic Society of Australia and Bangladesh Economic Association.
