Dr. Abu Bakar Siddique is a young Bangladeshi researcher who has published ve research articles in peer-reviewed journals within the last two years. After completing his Bachelor in agriculture and Master’s in plant pathology from Sher-e-Bangla Agriculture University, Dhaka, he accomplished another master’s in ecology from the Umeå University in Sweden. Dr. Siddique obtained his PhD on Molecular mycology and ecology from Greifswald University, Germany in 2017.

Having two years of postdoctoral research experience in Biology Centre CAS, the Czech Republic on fungal virology, he returned to Umeå University in Sweden and is currently doing his second postdoc there. With his involvement in research on natural biology for more than a decade, Dr. Siddique is now very much ebullient to encourage young students to contribute to their own country through research and development.
